Located at the foothills of the Hunua Ranges, the Hunua Ranges Regional Park is the largest piece of indigenous bush land in the Greater Auckland region. With its many reservoirs and trails throughout the ranges for tramping and mountain biking, amazing scenery, fishing, natural swimming pools and waterfalls.
The Hunua Ranges are home to one the the rarest bird residing on the mainland - the Kokako, which is the name for the lodge which FurcoNZ will be held this year.
FurcoNZ 2010
Dates: Friday 10th - Monday 13th December, 2010
Registration Cost: Will be announced once registration is officially open (estimated to be by middle of June). This year it is estimated to be about NZ$85.00 for standard early registration until 1st November, 2010.
FurcoNZ will be a fully catered event at a remote lodge/campsite, and your registration cost will cover:
- Accomodation at Kokako Lodge for the weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- Fully catered meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) during your stay
- And any other goodies that we will hopefully whip up for participants

We welcome any donations from those who wants to contribute more towards this event. The more donations we get, the better the event will be for you! Better foods and meals, more goodies, better equipment hire just to name a few. At the end of the day, any amount left over will be carried forward to the running of future events.
