- 26th May, 2010 (Wednesday)
Summer has come and gone, and so have Autumn it seems, and we're heading into the chilly Winter of 2010.
It is perhapes time that an announcement is made about this year's FurcoNZ, the 4th year of the current format.
Where: Kokako Lodge, Hunua Ranges, Auckland
When: Friday 10th December - Monday 13th December, 2010
The lodge site has been booked for this year with the above dates. It's being pushed back by 2 weeks compared to the previous 2 years as this year the site has been fully booked out for November a year in advance, and we'd like to plan for a back-to-back weekends for MidFur so people can attend both.
For those that need to plan their days off well in advance due to work/other commitments, or trying to grab a cheap airfare travelling into Auckland for FurcoNZ, those are the dates.
As for how much registration is going to cost this year, we are aiming to make it NZ$85.00 for your standard early registration (before 1st November 2010). The final cost will be formally announced once registration is open, which we are currently aiming to launch in the next few weeks (hopefully by the middle of June).
More details and announcements (including the opening of registration) regarding this year's FurcoNZ will be made soon!
Visit the FAQ page if you still have more questions, e-mail us at: info (at) furconz.org.nz or visit the #Furconz IRC channel on FurNet.
Thank you from the FurcoNZ 2010 staff and admin team.

FurcoNZ photos/videos and upcoming official FurcoNZ DVD release.
Official fursuit photos are now avaliable from our gallery page, so go check them out.
For those who simply wants to download all the FurcoNZ 2009 fursuit photos in one go, it is avaliable as a ZIP file with the photos in 2400x1600 resolution (which should be more than good enough to fill a FullHD LCD screen if you want to use them as a desktop wallpaper).

Regular (non-fursuit) photos are still being processed and will be uploaded later to our gallery page.
We are in the process of gathering all photo/video materials for the website, various Furry convention/meet photo-caches and onto our 2009 DVD release. As we've stated in the Terms/Conditions and Code of Conduct, please repect the privacy of others and while you are free to do whatever you want with the photos that you've taken, if there are other people in your photo/video and they do not wish those to be publicly avaliable, then keep them in a private only share (online).
*IMPORTANT* If you DO NOT WANT photos or videos of you being published publicly online (on the website, various Furry convention/meet photo-caches and the 2009 DVD release) that happened during FurcoNZ this year, let us know immediately.
The 2009 DVD won't be worked on/released until March/April 2010, and we'll make another announcement regarding that later on.
FurcoNZ 2010
Planning for next year's event is underway. The staff (especially our instructor over the weekend) at Kokako Lodge loved having us there so we'll be heading back there again next year!
Dates are yet to be determined but it will be in the same timeframe as this year (roughly the last weekend of November). Further information about price, the exact dates and registration details will be updated on the website and an announcement will be made.
That's it for now, once again thank you all for making FurcoNZ 2009 a success and we hope to see you all again next year!
