June Update

Hi folks! Hope everything is good and all that hoohah. Here's just a little update on what's going on behind the scenes.

On the donation front, thanks to those who have donated! Your efforts have helped lower the ticket prices but we still need more help! Anything that can be offered, you know how to do it!

I've recieved the info pack from the campsite owners which contains a list of what's available etc etc. I'll make a list of what you guys need to bring etc etc at some point soon. At the bottom of this news post are a couple of links. The first is from Camp Rangi Woods themselves which has the details for the camp, what's there what isn't there etc etc and what you need to bring. Do note that for some of these items, FURCONZ WILL PROVIDE. The cost has included provision of disposable plates and eating utensils, but if you wish to bring your own you're more than welcome, just make sure they are well labelled so that if they go missing and they are found they can be returned to the relevant owners. In the act of highlighting some points, Pohangina Valley has little to no cellphone reception. Where we are, there is NO cellphone reception. Still welcome to bring them along if they have cameras and such for taking photos, but SMS/phone calling/mobile interweb access will be impossible. We've already tried. We failed miserably. There is however a landline for local calling (the line is toll barred)/emergency calls and such. Just see the organising committee for access to this.

The second file has a small (and rather crude) map of how to get there from Ashhurst. Ashhurst is just outside of Palmerston North and should be easy to get to.

Both are PDF files so you'll need Acrobat Reader/Something that can read PDF documents. I assume most people already have one :P
