October Update
Allright folks! Hope spring hasn't been too wet so far!
We haven't had enough donations to make the event free for all ... yet! There is still time though! Right now we're standing at about $45 a head, which is great to see but I'd really like to see that drop some more! The bank account is 38-9000-0465001-02 (002 if you need 3 digits - name is N J SKAROTT), or a donation can be done via PayPal on the website using the Donate button on the right hand side of all the pages.
In respect to the website, there's been some more photos of the venue posted and such, and it's looking quite good. We are looking into an option for those travelling, to come and stay at the site on THURSDAY prior to the con starting. If they will allow us to do this, it will cost you an extra $10 (the camp's fee per head per night) to take this option. Stay tuned to see if they will let us do this. Please also read up on the site for Terms and Conditions/what to bring and so forth. There aren't really alot of rules! ^.^ It's also been really nice to see the forums being used to bring up ideas of what to do. Keep it going!
But onto more serious stuff. Unfortunately, it's a numbered list (gasp! The horror!)
1) IF YOU ARE FLYING INTO PALMERSTON NORTH AND WANT A PICKUP FROM THE AIRPORT
Drop me (meow@tunaweb.net.nz) an email with your flight details (flight number if possible and arrival time). I want to streamline this as much as possible to save trips back and forward ;)
2) PAYMENTS/REGO AT THE DOOR:
I do realise some other furries are likely to show up who haven't registered. If you register on the website by 20 November (The day before it starts), you will pay whatever the price is after donations (Donations will also close at this time). You will have the option to prepay your ticket after November 1, when I close donations off. Just deposit into the above bank account (same as donations), but give a reference of your furry name with PREPAY attached (Example: Meow PREPAY), for $45 dollars (this value may still change - be wary of that). I'll also accept payments via PayPal, but these will be $5 extra to cover PayPal's fees. The price covers your accommodation and food too! If you've registered and choose to pay at the door, you will still be able to get in for the cheaper price. HAVE CASH. I cannot stress this enough. There are NO EFTPOS/CREDITCARD FACILITIES. You will need to either prepay by depositing into the above account, using PayPal, or pay IN CASH at the door. Cheque will NOT be accepted. Donations WILL CLOSE NOVEMBER 1!! Also, if you prepay, there will be a special "something" in it for you at the con. What that is won't be revealed until the opening ceremony :)
3) WHAT TO BRING:
Plates and Cutlery (if you can - we will provide what we can)
BYO Booze (we will have a communal lot if we can, but still BYO if you want to drink)
Food (if you want to - we will also provide)
Bedding (mattresses are provided - you will need either a sleeping bag or sheeting/blanket and a pillow)
Toiletries (I know this may seem rare, but only the showers and the water are provided! Soaps, shampoos etc etc you'll need to bring yourself)
Yourselves and some fun things to do!
We will have a projector for at least one movie night, and a sound system for a rave/music night (people who frequent the IRC channel will know what "music night" is!)
